Kim Bernard is presently the artist in residence at the Harvard University Physics Department. The work in the exhibit It’s Physical: Kim Bernard is the result of her research, experimentation and exciting collaboration with the scientists there. She says, “It’s fascinating that there are predictable patterns in matter and motion. I’m interested in creating work that demonstrates this phenomena simply, with an aesthetic that allows the viewer easy access, and provides a tangible way of seeing physics.” The artist will have a conversation with Suffolk University physics professor Prashant Sharma on Thursday, October 1 at 5:00pm, followed by a reception.
There will also be a hands-on activity: Hyperbolic Crocheting! Try your hand at crocheting and other related activities, no experience necessary.
