Erin Shirreff is an artist based in Brooklyn, New York.
A survey exhibition of recent photographs, sculpture, and video opened at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston in Fall 2015, and will travel to the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in early 2016.
Recent and upcoming exhibitions include: L’image volée, Fondazione Prada (2016); Photo-Poetics: An Anthology, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York (2015); Arm’s Length, Sikkema Jenkins & Co., New York (2015); Part Picture, MoCCA, Toronto (2015); Allegory of the Cave Painting, Extra City Kunsthal, Antwerp (2014); Never Enough, Dallas Museum of Art (2014); and Lens Drawings, Marian Goodman Gallery, Paris (2013). Shirreff was an artist-in-residence at the Chinati Foundation (2011) and Artpace in San Antonio (2013), and is the recipient of a Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Grant. Her work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Centre Pompidou, LACMA, The Museum of Modern Art, and Yale University Art Gallery, among others.
