Yvonne Love received her MFA in sculpture from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. A sculptor and installation artist, she exhibits her work internationally and is represented by Brenda Taylor Gallery, in Boston, Sidetracks Gallery in New Hope, and is affiliated with LG Tripp Gallery in Philadelphia. She is an Assistant Professor of Art at Penn State Abington College.
Love’s current series, Alluvial Plain, reflects an exploration of place and time where process is an immediate response to juxtaposed materials, whether combining modeling paste and resin or porcelain and glass. Discovered spaces create play between opacity and transparency and the ambiguity of boundaries, which contain and protect and divide and limit.
