Please Join Renee Kurilla for a Public artist Talk, Thursday November 5th, 11:30 am at 23 Essex Street, Room 201

Renee Kurilla was a Lead Artist at FableVision Studios for nearly 10 years and is the illustrator of many children’s books including Orangutanka: A Story in Poems and the forthcoming Berkley the Terrible Sleeper by Mitchell Sharmat.

Kurilla has also illustrated many books for Lerner Publishing, and is currently working on the Bel the Weather Girl series written by Minneapolis meteorologist Belinda Jensen! (scheduled for Spring 2016)

Before transitioning to a full time freelance career, Kurilla was a Lead Artist at FableVision Studios for nearly 10 years. Her work there has contributed to multiple honors, including the graphic novel Zebrafish (2008), a Junior Library Guild selection, and the Ranger Rick's Tree House App for the National Wildlife Federation, which won a 2013 Parents' Choice Award!

Kurilla currently live just south of Boston with her illustrator husband Keith Zoo, and fluffy orange cat, Timmy.
