Human rights violation claims are unthinkable without evidence, whether it takes the form of documents, images, or objects and their traces. It is not just as a matter of claiming that rights have been violated, as if they went without saying. Sometimes evidence is called upon to demonstrate something more basic: that the claimants are indeed our fellow humans.
