Al Miner has been Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston since 2010. There Miner has curated Daniel Rich: Platforms of Power, the New York painter’s first solo museum exhibition, and Ori Gersht: History Repeating, the first survey exhibition of the Israeli photographer and new media artist, for which he authored an award-winning monograph of the same title. Prior to the MFA, he worked at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Washington D.C. There Miner curated projects with Dan Graham, Yoko Ono, and Blinky Palermo; and managed the two-part video art exhibition, The Cinema Effect.
