Please join us for a visiting artist talk featuring Keren Cytter, an Israeli artist and writer. Her video art practice centers on the integration of text, absurd fragmentation, and the use of intertextuality. Cytter’s written scripts and their visual realizations prompt questions about language and its role in the construction of representational tropes. Recent exhibitions include Pilar Corrias Gallery, London, EN; Matthew Gallery, NY; and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.
This talk is presented in conjunction with the 2017 exhibition "Dream States: Video and the Political Imaginary," which was on view at Grossman Gallery at SMFA at Tufts.
*NOTE: This event was originally scheduled for October 10 but was rescheduled for February 13.
