James N. Kienitz Wilkins at Wellesley College

James N. Kienitz Wilkins is a filmmaker and artist based in Brooklyn. His work has screened at international film festivals and venues including the New York Film Festival, CPH:DOX, MoMA PS1, Toronto IFF, Locarno IFF, Rotterdam IFF, Migrating Forms, Edinburgh, and beyond. In 2016, he was awarded the Kazuko Trust Award presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, and selected as one of “25 New Faces of Independent Film” by Filmmaker Magazine. In 2017, he participated in the Whitney Biennial and had a retrospective at RIDM festival in Montreal. 

Between Constructed and Imagined Spaces is our new visiting filmmaker screening and conversation series. Run in collaboration with the Cinema and Media Studies Department and the Art Department at Wellesley College, this series is made possible with support from the Rebecca Bacharach Treves Memorial Fund.
